Home or parking lot car washing wastes water and “pollutes” the environment! Most people who wash their vehicles at home or those charities that wash cars in parking lots, don’t realize where that “contaminated” water goes, or how much water is wasted.

Self-car-washing that soapy water runs off the car and pavement, into gutters that carry it into the local storm water system. This water remains “un-treated” and runs directly into our lakes, rivers and ground water! It’s been proven that washing your vehicle at home or in a parking lot for only 10 minutes, wastes 80 to 140 gallons of “drinking water”.

At Sparkle N Shine our state-of-the-art facilities, are equipped with water saving and recycling systems designed to conserve water, typically using only 20 to 30 gallons per-vehicle. Additionally, we recapture water from our “soft water” rinse system and where available, we use city “gray water” rather than using potable (drinking) water!
