Strong storms moving across the Dade City area early Friday caused damage at a mobile home park.

At least 13 mobile homes had some sheet metal peeled off roofs and porches at the Country Aire Estates Mobile Home Park in Dade City, according to Pasco County Emergency Management officials.

One unit had its roof and screen room came off, the others had dents and other damage as the straight line winds moved through the region.

There were no injuries reported.

That line of storms produced winds of 40 to 50 mph in Dade City around 12:30 a.m.

According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Juli Marquez, there is another batch of showers and thunderstorms in the Gulf of Mexico that will move into our area today. Any thunderstorms that develop could produce strong wind gusts, hail, and heavy rain.

Rain chances will continue later this morning and this afternoon.
