Horst: Photographs — Fashion and Surrealism is a curated collection of the works of famed photographer Horst P. Horst (1906-1999), who is one of the 20th century’s most iconic fashion photographers. Horst’s photos appeared in Vogue and House and Garden. On view are 180 works featuring original vintage photographs, sketches, films, letters, cameras and large-scale color prints made for the exhibition, in collaboration with the Condé Nast Archive in New York. Gallery displays include sections for Haute Couture (1930s Paris), Surrealism, The Studio, Fashion in Color, Nudes and Platinum. The exhibition was organized in collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and has works on loan from the Condé Nast Archive, The Horst Estate and other private collections.
Horst: Photographs — Fashion and Surrealism will be on display at The Dali Museum through September 6, 2016. For more information on museum hours visit www.TheDali.org or call 727-823-3767.
