According to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, K-9 Kilo served for eight years, starting in 2006.
During his career, Kilo served his partner, Corporal Stephen Miller, with distinction. In 2010, Kilo was shot multiple times while apprehending an attempted murder suspect.
Thanks to a bullet and stab resistent vest he was wearing, Kilo made a full recovery and returned to full duty.
