ORLANDO, FL – The Orlando Pride has signed forward Alex Kerr to a contract through the 2024 season, according a news release. Kerr originally joined the Pride after being drafted by the Club in the final round of the 2024 NWSL Draft, No. 50 overall, after graduating from Texas Tech University.

“When Alex joined us in preseason, we could immediately see her potential to find success at this level. She has had a really productive few weeks and has done everything right to earn this contract,” VP of Soccer Operations and General Manager Haley Carter said.

“She has pushed our forwards in training and is connecting well with her teammates, both on and off the field. We are so excited to formally add Alex to the roster and give her a high-performance environment in which she can continue to grow her game.”

“I’m so grateful for this opportunity to begin my professional career with such talented teammates and an incredible coaching staff with the Orlando Pride. I’m beyond excited for the season to begin,” Kerr said.

The Orlando Pride was announced as the 10th team in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in 2015, bringing professional women’s soccer to the state of Florida for the first time. The team began play in April 2016, setting a then-league single-game attendance record in its first-ever home game, with 23,403 fans witnessing the Club’s first win.
