When it comes to traffic congestion in the United States, the Tampa Bay area is the 15th worst region.

That’s according to telemetrics company TomTom in its annual Traffic Index report.

Tampa has a congestion level of 24 percent, with drivers spending an extra 27 minutes of travel time each day during peak hours.

According to the study, the most congested day for drivers was Wednesday, June 10, 2015.

On the plus side, traffic congestion in Tampa was down 1 percent from last year.

Two other Florida cities also made the top 20 list for traffic congestion in the United States. Miami and Orlando ranked 7th and 16th, respectively.
