Environmental conditions are expected to be generally favorable for a tropical or subtropical depression or storm to form today or Saturday.

An Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft is scheduled to investigate the low this afternoon.
The low will move west-northwestward or northwestward toward the southeastern U.S. coast this weekend.
The computer models continue to be in good agreement with the placement and movement of this low, taking it toward the Carolinas this weekend.
If you are going to Florida’s east coast for the Memorial Day weekend, there is a risk of rip currents at the beaches there.
